When I was a little girl, I had an A-line dress that was my favourite go-to dress. It was simple & sweet with just a hint of girlie.
The vertical style lines of the Sweetie Pie dress give very subtle shaping. You can accentuate those lines by contrasting your fabrics or adding a sash, as you'll see in the photos. The back opens via buttons or snaps and there are awesome pockets to collect treasures.

FABRIC & TRIM OUTLINE:
TRIM REQUIREMENTS: 3 x 15mm (3/8") buttons or size 20 snaps. 18-25mm (3/4-1") bias binding (optional). Lightweight interfacing (fusing).
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: The following table outlines fabric requirements based on 110cm (44") fabric.
Please note: (1) The estimates below do not include directional fabrics. I recommend you cut out the pattern & lay the pieces down on a flat surface to help estimate fabric needs for directional fabric. (2) If you are sewing with rayon, remember to allow for shrinkage & buy a little extra. (3) Also it’s wise to pre-wash your fabrics, in particular rayon.
