FABRIC & TRIM OUTLINE:

TRIM REQUIREMENTS:Lightweight interfacing (fusing). 18-25mm (3/4-1") binding (optional).

SUGGESTED FABRIC: Your fabric needs drape. If it has any stiffness or a heavy body to it, it’s not going to fall nicely. My #1 recommendation is rayon. It just has such a lovely drape (make sure you prep-wash though). Cotton Voile, Light Quilting Fabric, Silk & Silk-like fabrics, Linen & Linen Blends. The gorgeous prints available to you in summer weight fabrics are endless.

Please note that wearing a Kaftan is not a replacement for sunscreen as all fabrics differ in their sun protection properties.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:
The following table outlines fabric requirements based on 110cm (44") fabric.

Please note: (1) The estimates below do not include directional fabrics. I recommend you cut out the pattern & lay the pieces down on a flat surface to help estimate fabric needs for directional fabric. (2) If you are sewing with rayon, remember to allow for shrinkage & buy a little extra.  (3) Also it’s wise to pre-wash your fabrics, in particular rayon.

Great Pattern

First time I've touched a sewing machine in about 20 years so was a bit nervous, this pattern made it easy to get back in the swing. Thank you so much, love the different neckline and length options too. Looking for a jumpsuit/harem pants pattern now, do you have one? Or will you create one?
